Whiplash

Whiplash! Ouch! Have you ever had this happen to you before from being in a motor vehicle accident, fall from a bicycle, roller coaster ride, or an injury sustained in some other way?

A whiplash injury may be the result of over-stretching of the spine, mainly the ligament: anterior longitudinal ligament which is usually stretched or torn as the head snaps forward and then back again causing this painful injury. Symptoms can range from pain and aching in the neck and back, referred pain in the shoulders, sensory disturbance (pins and needles, shooting pains) to the arms and legs, nausea, difficulty with eye movement, blurred vision, and headaches! You can feel these symptoms immediately or days after the injury depending on the severe nature of the whiplash.

Persons who suffer with whiplash range from mild pain for a few days to severe disability. Treatment for whiplash and cervical spine injury requires prompt attention to the injury, as the structural balance of your neck and spine is important to your health. We can assist in your recovery by correctly adjusting your neck and spine to allow it to heal naturally and properly. In addition, we can use other modalities to relieve severe pain and put you back on the road to good health.

Using BBT, having advanced neurological exams throughout treatment, and with the use of other modalities provides your spine a more normal path for healing.
